Fennel & Prostyle Upped At Power 105.1/NYC

It was one of those rare and magical “two-cakes-in-the-break-room”-kind of day at iHeartMedia Urban WWPR (Power 105.1)/New York yesterday as the entire staff convened to celebrate a couple of well deserved promotions — Eddie Fennel has been upped to Assistant Program Director and midday personality DJ Prostyle has been upgraded to Music Director.

Fennel most recently served as Executive Producer for the Premiere-syndicated The Breakfast Club, which is based at Power 105.1. He will relinquish that role in order to focus on his new programming department duties. Prior to joining iHeartMedia NYC, Fennel was APD at WDAS and WUSL/Philadelphia. Prostyle will continue as the midday host on Power 105.1. Prostyle has been on-air with Power 105.1 for more than six years and was previously on air at Cox Media Rhythmic WPYO (Power 95.3)/Orlando. He has also served as the resident DJ on BET’s 106 & Park.

Both gentlemen report to Thea Mitchem, iHeartMedia EVP of Programming, Northeast Division and PD of Power 105.1 and share the responsibilities formerly held by Geespin, who earlier this year segued to a new career path with United Talent Agency (UTA).
