Five Upped At Cumulus Providence

• Big day inside the Cumulus Media broadcast complex in Providence, as the company announced the elevation of five programming pros, starting with major market veteran Mary Ellen Kachinske, OM/PD of AC WWLI (Lite 105), who is promoted to Director of Music Programming for Lite 105, heritage Top 40 WPRO-FM (92PRO-FM) and Rhythmic WWKX (Hot 106).

And there’s more: (below, l-r): Nick Giuliano has been awarded APD stripes for 92PRO-FM. He will retain his existing role as APD/MD and afternoon drive talent on Hot 106. Jess Schiano rises to Music Director for 92PRO-FM. At the same time she moves up from middays to afternoon drive on the station. Succeeding Schiano in middays on PRO-FM is J Buff, who will continue to produce the long-running, wildly popular Giovanni & Kim morning show. The promotion festivities continue over on Lite 105, as APD/morning co-host Heather Gersten is awarded Music Director duties.
