Ford Drives Long Island Home On The Wolf
• Connoisseur Media’s WWWF (103.1 The Wolf)/Long Island welcomes major market pro Kelly Ford to afternoon drive. Beginning August 1, Ford will broadcast weekdays from 3p-7pm, live from Connoisseur’s broadcast complex at Airport Plaza in scenic Farmingdale, NY, rounding out a staff that includes the syndicated The Big D & Bubba Morning Show and Alexa Neo in middays.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Kelly Ford to Long Island and to 103.1 The Wolf,” said Patrick Shea, Program Director of 103.1 The Wolf. “Her enthusiasm and dedication to Country music are evident, and we know she will be a fantastic addition to our team. Our listeners are in for a real treat.”
Ford is a familiar voice to Country listeners in the tri-state area, thanks to her run as the only solo female morning show in the history of Country radio in New York City when she anchored mornings on the former WNSH/New York.
It’s important to note that Ford will retain her current role as host of the Key Networks-syndicated Backstage Country, heard on 80 stations across America.
Over her career, Ford has been honored by the CMA and the ACM, earned three Gracie Awards from the Alliance of Women in Media, and an NAB Marconi Award.
“I’m beyond thrilled to return to the NY market at 103.1 The Wolf!” Ford exclaimed. “I know first-hand that Long Island Country listeners have a passion for the genre that is unmatched anywhere in the country. I can’t wait to build this brand with Jeff Warshaw, David Bevins and the Connoisseur team who believe in the power of radio! And, huge bonus to be part of the talented air staff that includes my friends, the legendary Big D, Bubba and Carsen. What a dream come true. Let’s go!!!”
