Ft. Myers Jams With Gelly 94.1

• Sun Broadcasting in sunny Ft. Myers-Naples, FL decided to fit in a little pre-holiday format fun by launching a new Alternative station — say hello to “Gelly 94-1,” brought to you via WXNX-HD2 and WFSX-1240AM feeding the translator at 94.1, which used to be part of a Fox Sports simulcast with several other local signals.

John Rozz, Director of Programming, describes the new Gelly 94-1 as “a blend of Alt with a touch of Triple A. Not too crunchy or poppy… it has a cool vibe that’s very easy to  listen to.” When we asked the obvious question, “So, why ‘Gelly,'” Rozz replied, “Actually, it doesn’t represent anything, it’s just a unique name.”

As we speak, Gelly 94-1 is running jockless and commercial-free and should be streaming very soon at Gelly941.com.
