Happy 15th, Karson & Kennedy!

• Just a couple of crazy, wide-eyed kids with a dream… who knew??? Congratulations to Karson & Kennedy, who celebrated their 15th anniversary in mornings on Audacy Hot AC WWBX (Mix 104.1)/Boston. This month they also mark their 21st anniversary as a radio team.

In a conversation last October, when Karson Tager and Kennedy Elsey inked a sweet new contract extension, Tager shared with us the duo’s history, telling RAMP, “Kennedy and I first met in 1998, when she was cast in a summer theater show, and I was volunteering on the technical side of the show. After about six months I convinced her to come to work at WQSM/Fayetteville part time. We became very good friends, and when I landed a morning show at WHTF/Tallahassee in 2003 I asked Kennedy to join me. Unfortunately, she said yes… LOL.”

The duo was subsequently hired at Flinn Top 40 WHBQ (Q107.5)/Memphis in 2004, and that four-year success propelled them to Boston in January of 2009.

Now, as they blow out 15 virtual candles on a pretend cake, Tager tells RAMP, “We celebrated the occasion by asking friends, family, coworkers and former members of the show to roast us and they delivered in a big way — enjoy Part I, Part II, Part III, and Part IV.”
