iHeart, Hollywood Hamilton Mutually Recommit
• iHeartMedia announced an exclusive long-term agreement with Radio Hall of Famer Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton to renew his already long-term relationship with the company. Under the new three-year deal, Hamilton will continue to anchor afternoon drive on WKTU/New York.
Hamilton’s extensive radio history includes stints at Z100/New York and KIIS-FM/Los Angeles, and he was a part of the original on-air staff when WKTU launched in 1996. He was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2019.
“Hollywood Hamilton’s longstanding love of radio, and his deep connection to his listeners and his community, comes through in his work every single day, and we are thrilled to continue our relationship with him,” said Bob Pittman, Chairman & CEO of iHeartMedia. “He is one of the most loved and respected people in the industry, and it’s hard to imagine true New York City radio without Hollywood’s voice.” Tom Poleman, President & Chief Programming Officer of iHeartMedia, noted, “Hollywood Hamilton is a New York radio icon and synonymous with KTU. We’re very happy that he’ll be with us for many years to come.”
“Hollywood is a special talent whose drive and vision propels him to the top of the ratings time and time again,” said Thea Mitchem, Executive Vice President of Programming of iHeartMedia. “I’m thrilled he’s extending his relationship with KTU and excited about the future, and what he will create.” Hamilton remarked, “Much love to Thea Mitchem, for putting this together and dealing with my crybaby moments… love you.”
