Jessen Now Running The Show At B98.5/Atlanta

An Atlanta native and University of Georgia graduate, Jessen began her radio career with CMG in Athens, Georgia, where she programmed News-Talk WGAU and Adult Hits WXKT (103.7 Chuck FM) and anchored Saturday news for WSB-AM (95.5 WSB)/Atlanta. She later spent three years with CMG Tulsa as Director of Branding & Programming and afternoon talent for Hot AC KRAV (Mix 96.5) before returning to Atlanta in March 2023 as Asst. Director of Branding and Programming and midday talent for B98.5.
“Abby’s promotion to B98.5 Director of Branding and Programming is incredibly well deserved,” said Jules Riley, Director of Operations and Programming for CMG Atlanta Radio. “Throughout more than a decade with CMG, she has continued to grow as a leader and has brought creativity, passion and a deep commitment to every role she has held. Since returning to Atlanta, Abby’s leadership and guidance have helped strengthen B98.5’s position as a leading adult contemporary brand. I’m excited to see how her vision and creativity take B98.5 to even greater heights.”
“I’m incredibly grateful to the mentors, teammates, friends and my wonderful husband who have supported me throughout my career,” said Jessen. “I grew up listening to B98.5, so it is truly a privilege to continue working with this amazing team to serve our listeners and the community we call home.”
In addition to her new role, Jessen will continue hosting middays on B98.5, as well as on CMG sisters WEZI (Easy 102.9)/Jacksonville, 106.1 WNGC/Athens, GA and KSMG (Hits 105.3)/San Antonio.
