Keith & Tony Ride Again!

• Reunited — and it feels, well, fairly OK, and thanks for asking, at iHeartMedia Hot AC WKDD/Akron, OH, as the beloved former wake-up duo of “Keith & Tony” rides again!

After a two-year stint at Cleveland-based Futuri, Tony McGinty makes his triumphant return to the iHeart building to A) reestablish his former role as WKDD morning co-host with Keith Kennedy, and B) assume PD command of Mainstream Rock WRQK (Rock 106.9), taking some of the programming load off of Mr. Kennedy, whose plate is fairly full, what with his other fulltime job as Regional SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Cleveland Region.

McGinty and Kennedy were previously teamed up in mornings on WKDD from 2012 until January 2020. McGinty succeeds Kat Jackson, who last month transitioned into an off-air audio production role, but will retain her weekend shift on WMJI (Majic 105.7).

No stranger to the inner workings of WRQK, McGinty formerly co-hosted The Stansbury Show on WRQK and served as Digital Content Coordinator for iHeart Akron-Canton, Cleveland and Youngstown until Nov. 2020, when he was one of many downsized during a round of corporate restructuring. And now he’s back.
