La Crosse Annexes iHeart Sacramento
• iHeartMedia has promoted Michael La Crosse to SVP of Programming for the company’s seven-station Sacramento market. And yes, he will retain his existing roles as VP of Programming for iHeartMedia Portland, OR and PD of AC KBEB (92.5 The Breeze)/Sacramento.
La Crosse reports to Maynard, EVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group, who said, “Michael is an outstanding programmer and human. He has worked closely with Sacramento and many other iHeartMedia markets over the past few years and I couldn’t be more excited to formally expand his leadership responsibilities and influence.”
Sara McClure, Market President for iHeartMedia Sacramento, remarked, “While working with Michael as our Program Director of 92.5 The Breeze, I witnessed an incredibly talented and selfless individual demonstrate leadership and interest in helping us take all our brands to another level. I’m excited for Michael and for Sacramento!”
In addition to KBEB, the Sacramento cluster includes News-Talk 93.1 KFBK, Talk 650 KSTE, Classic Hip Hop KHYL (V101.1), Classic Rock KYRV (93.7 The River), Country 107.1 The Bull (KYRV-HD2) and new Hot AC KZIS (KISS 107.9). LaCrosse commented, “I’m very humbled to get the chance to work with the amazing team in Sacramento. With a brand-new station like KISS 107.9 and a station like NewsRadio KFBK that’s celebrating its 100th anniversary, our stations are as diverse as Sacramento itself.”
La Crosse’s previous programming resume includes 94.7 WLS/Chicago, KOST 103.5/Los Angeles and a stint as OM of iHeartMedia Spokane. He began his career at WNUA/Chicago.
