Crystal’s Legendary Promotion

• Dick Broadcasting Company makes it permanent and elevates Crystal Legends from “Acting” to “Official” Operations Manager of its Greenville-New Bern-Jacksonville cluster. She retains her PD stripes for Country WRNS while adding operational oversight for Top 40 WERO (Bob 93.3), Active Rock WXQR (Rock 105.5), Adult Hits simulcast WQSL/WQZL (92.3 & 101.1 The River) and Sports-Talk WRNS-AM (960 The Bull). She succeeds Chris “Hollywood” Mann, who exited in September after 16 years.

Jason Goodman, VP of Programming for Dick Broadcasting, commented, “After a nationwide search, Crystal proved that she was the right choice for the position. She has enormous passion and was essential in leading our programming team in the New Bern market during Hurricane Florence.” GM Tony Denton stated, “Crystal Legends has been with our company since 2007, and I also worked with Crystal prior to her joining here. She has served very well in many positions during her tenure here. That, combined with all the experience she has gained, certainly made the decision to promote her to our Operations Manager an easy one!”

Legends remarked, “It’s an honor to be believed in. I started interning in radio in high school and went fulltime while still in college. This is all I’ve ever wanted to do in life. The co-workers I have, the connections I’ve made, and the leaders in DBC make everything worth it! I’m truly proud to be part of the team.”
