Long Island Wakes Up With The Wolf
• Long Island has a new Country radio station — Connoisseur Media flushed Classic Hits from WBZO (103.1 Max FM)/Nassau-Suffolk and relaunched it as WWWF (The New 103.1 The Wolf), which the company describes as “the only rated Country music station in the NY Metro area.” [Ed. note: JVC Media Country rival WJVC is licensed to Center Moriches, NY and covers the eastern end of Long Island].
“After months of extensive research, and looking at artist trends, we know there is an open lane for Long Island to have its own Country music radio station that reaches both Nassau and Suffolk counties,” said David Bevins, Connoisseur COO & Long Island Market Manager. “The demand is there and we’re proud to be the group to bring it to life.”
“Our team has worked tirelessly to curate the perfect music lineup,” said Patrick Shea, Operations Manager for Connoisseur Media Long Island. “It’s a playlist that celebrates the incredible talent and storytelling that defines Country music.”
• The New 103.1 The Wolf is actively seeking its inaugural Program Director / Afternoon Personality.
