Mark Hamlin On The Loose

• The worsening COVID-19 pandemic continues to wreak havoc upon the financial well-being of radio groups. And because of that, RAMP has confirmed that Mark Hamlin (pictured) has exited as OM of Midwest Communications’ group in Kalamazoo, MI after five years as his position is unfortunately eliminated. Also out: Production Director Nick Nacci.

Midwest Communications’ VP of Programming Jeff McCarthy tells RAMP that Hamlin’s now former Kalamazoo duties will be absorbed by Miggy Santos, Brand Manager/morning talent at Country sibling WNWN (Win 98.5) in nearby Battle Creek, MI.

The Kalamazoo group includes AC WVFM (FM 106.5), Adult Hits WZOX (96.5 Jack FM), Urban AC WTOU-AM/W238AL (1560AM/95.5 The Touch), Talk WKZO-AM 590/106.9 (W295CL), and Sports-Talk WQLR-AM (1660 The Fan).

Hamlin’s previous programming stints include KUDL/Kansas City and Cumulus Country WFMS/Indianapolis. Earlier stops include WWWW (W4)/Detroit, WNND/Chicago, WBEB (B101)/Philadelphia, WRVR/Memphis and WSPA/Greenville, SC. He can now be reached at 864-414-5291 or Markhamlin1@att.net.
