Cox Media Group was this year’s biggest corporate winner, snagging five Marconi Awards, including the prestigious Legendary Station of the Year award for WSB-AM/Atlanta. CMG News-Talk KRMG-FM/Tulsa was named Medium Market Station, and KRMG morning host Dan Potter was named Medium Market Personality. Meruelo Media is the proud owner of KLOS and KLLI/Los Angeles, the newly crowned Rock Station and Spanish Station of the Year, respectively; Cumulus Sports-Talk KTCK-AM/Dallas took home Marconi Awards for Sports Station and Major Market Personality for The Musers (Dunham, Miller & Keith).

Hubbard Radio won Marconi Awards for News-Talk WTOP/Washington, AC WTMX/Chicago, and Large Market Station, WTMY-FM/Minneapolis. Audacy’s Marconi haul includes Major Market Station for KYW-AM/Philadelphia; Classic Hits Station for WCBS-FM/New York and Country Station, WYCD-FM/Detroit.

The most delightfully surprising winner this year was the mighty Bryan Broadcasting of Bryan, TX, now making room on the mantle for four Marconi’s — Ben Downs was named Legendary Manager, News-Talk WTAW-AM was named Small Market Station, and Top 40 KNDE took home Marconi’s for CHR Station and Small Market Personality for morning duo Frito & Katy.

Marconi finalists were selected by a task force of broadcasters, and the winners were voted on by the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Selection Academy, and the votes were tabulated by an independent firm. RAMP extends its most sincere congratulations to this year’s stellar group of nominees and winners.
