Mid-West’s Gamble Pays Off

• Mid-West Family South Bend, IN has named Bill Gamble as its new General Manager. Gamble most recently served as the Director of Programming and Content for the group, which includes AC WNSN (Sunny 101.5), Classic Hits WZOC (Z94.3), Top 40 WQLQ (Live 99.9), Sports-Talk WSBT, Dash Digital Service and Sportsbeat The App.

Dave Doetsch, President of WSJM, Inc., which owns the South Bend stations said, “Bill is a person who knows me, knows Mid-West Family and knows the market. Someone I have worked directly with on select projects over the past year which give me the confidence of Bill leading us in to the future.”

Gamble has been with the group since September 2010, hired by previous owner Schurz Communications. His resume is highlighted by a lengthy tenure in Chicago, with prior programming stops at WKQX, WZZN & WXCD, and WUSN & WCFS. He also served as Operations Manager for WMAQ/Chicago. Gamble also programmed WSUN/Tampa, was Station Manager of WKLR/Indianapolis, Regional VP of Programming for Emmis and Director of Operations and New Media for CBS Radio Denver.
