New Morning Saga Dawns In Columbus
• Busy morning in the hallways of Saga’s Columbus Radio Group, which skillfully managed to launch two new morning shows simultaneously — AC WSNY (Sunny 95) welcomes the newly minted wake-up team of Randi and Rice in the Morning, hosted by market veteran Randi Rasar, who notably spent a decade across the street at North American Active Rock WRKZ (99-7 The Blitz) as morning co-host alongside her husband, Jeremy Loper until Dec. 2022.
Rasar’s new co-host DJ Rice earns the transfer to Columbus from afternoons at Saga sister station WMGX (Coast 93.1)/Portland, ME.
Rasar remarked, “We’re gonna shake things up and work to make everyone’s morning brighter! I’m so glad Sunny 95 picked me to liven up your morning commute!” Rice added, “I can’t wait to wake up Columbus every weekday with my new friend, Randi! Thanks to the entire Columbus team for the opportunity to live my dream.”
Across the hall, Hot AC WVMX (Mix 107.9) says hello to new morning host Gordon “Gordo” Hultengren, who arrives from scenic South Bend, IN, where he most recently co-hosted Gordo & Tara In The Morning on Sound Management Top 40 WNDV (U93).
Gordo exclaimed, “I’m excited to be in a city with so much going on, with incredibly friendly people, and home to THE Ohio State Buckeyes! I am so grateful for this opportunity to be on the air working with this team!”
Randi & Rice succeed longtime Sunny 95 morning duo Dino Tripodis and Stacy McKay, who exited a few weeks ago.
