News Director Opening In Michigan
• The community may be smaller, but this certainly isn’t small market radio — Midwest Communications’ award-winning Full Service / Classic Hits WTVB-AM 1590/95.5 FM/Coldwater, MI, “The Voice Of Branch County” is looking for its next News Director.
Our current veteran News Director is retiring later this year and we’re looking for someone to continue our reputation for outstanding local news coverage. We are the primary source for news, high school sports, and community news in our county and the region on-air, but we also maintain an extremely powerful website that generates up to one million page views per month.
We’re looking for a take-charge person who loves to get involved in the community, and who will be backed by other Midwest Communication newsrooms around Michigan. A play-by-play background would be a bonus, but not necessary.
We offer a competitive salary and a full benefits package in a market that has a relatively low cost of living. Our county has over 100 lakes, good schools, a vibrant arts community, and is halfway between Chicago and Detroit.
Qualified candidates should email an mp3 of your best work, a letter of interest, and your resume to Market Manager Ken Delaney at ken.delaney@mwcradio.com, or overnight your package to Ken’s attention to WTVB, 182 N. Angola Road, Coldwater, MI 49036. EOE.
