Opportunity Knox For Matt Cooper
• UPDATED: SummitMedia Country WCYQ (100.3 The Wolf)/Knoxville welcomes Matt Cooper as its new Program Director and afternoon co-host alongside Hanah May, weekdays from 3-7pm.
Cooper is a 15-year radio pro who earns the transfer and swell PD stripes from Country cousin WQNU (Q103.1)/Louisville, where he has served as APD/MD and afternoon talent for the past three years. Before that he did nights on Hubbard Country WUBE (B105.1)/Cincinnati. Cooper earlier plugged in at WTMX/Chicago, WXSS & WMYX/Milwaukee, and he also spent some quality time in Rockford, IL at WZOK and WKGL.
“Matt has been an incredible asset in Louisville, and comes to Knoxville ready to make an impact,” said Randy Chase, SummitMedia EVP of Programming. “He is consumer-focused and results-driven. His talent and drive make him a great fit to lead the team.”
Cooper exclaimed, “I’m so excited to be part of this great team in Knoxville. This is such a cool city, and I can’t wait to get out and explore. Thank you so much to SummitMedia for this opportunity. I’m ready to get started.” Cooper succeeds Brian “Opie Joe” Creason, who exits.
• Cooper’s big move to Knoxville now means a promising APD/MD/afternoon drive opportunity just became available at Q103.1/Louisville. Qualified candidates are invited to check out the online posting and submit your application. EOE.
