Pat Paxton Joins Saga As SVP/Content

• Veteran programmer Pat Paxton is joining Saga Communications as Senior Vice President of Content, effective June 26.

Paxton most recently spent 23 years with Audacy, rising to Chief Programming Officer until his departure in August 2021. He earlier programmed KHMX/Houston, and served as Group PD for Nationwide Communications, Cardinal Communications and Adventure Communications.

In making the announcement of Paxton’s hire, Saga CEO Chris Forgy said, “Pat is a world-class broadcaster and an even better coach. We are delighted to have Pat join our team at Saga; and having this be the last job Pat ever has.”

Paxton remarked, “I am absolutely thrilled to be named Sr. VP of Content for Saga Communications. It was concurrently announced that Saga Group Program Director Scott Chase will be relocating to Ocala, FL, for family reasons and will serve as Ocala Operations Manager while retaining his Group PD duties, assisting Paxton in his new role as SVP of Content.
