Johnson Named COO, Glades Media

• Brian Johnson has been named Chief Operating Officer of Glades Media, working with the company’s co-founders — Chairman & CEO Robert Castellanos, and CFO James Johnson. “For the past year, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Brian and seeing first-hand what an outstanding broadcaster he’s become,” said Castellanos. “Brian’s passion for radio and people is evident in how he approaches every opportunity and challenge. I look forward to building upon our business partnership as we continue navigating the broadcast media landscape.”

Johnson, who joined Glades Media full-time in 2021, previously spent 25 years as Rush Limbaugh‘s personal engineer, a role that began when Limbaugh moved to Palm Beach in 1996. Before joining The Rush Limbaugh Show, Johnson worked at Johnson & Associates Broadcast Consultants with his father, Jim. “Spending more time with my father and being a part of this extraordinary family-owned company is a must for me,” said Johnson, who also owns BMZ Broadcasting, LLC and leases WLMX-FM/Okeechobee, FL to Glades Media. “I’m honored to have the opportunity to work more closely with Robbie, Jim and the rest of the leadership team as we continue to explore opportunities to expand Glades Media Radio across South Florida.”

Glades Media is based in Clewiston, FL and operates eight radio stations in West Palm Beach, Ft. Myers, Ft. Pierce, Okeechobee, Clewiston, and Key West. Glades Media also offers tower site leasing. Johnson can be contacted at brian@gladesmedia.com.
