Podcast PDs Takes You Backstage
• In late October we first told you about Podcast PDs, the new company started by radio pros Rob “Scorpio” Michael and Jim “Jimbo” Kovacik, designed to help talent launch — and maintain — successful podcasts. Their latest project, The Backstage Experience, involves another radio veteran — Dave Morales, and his partner Jonathan Stenvall, who founded the successful entertainment site BackstageOL.com in 2011. Viewers of Backstage OL’s online content and segments on KRIV (Fox 26)/Houston already know that Morales and Stenvall regularly talk to the biggest names in movies, TV, music and gaming.
“Dave and Jonathan are pioneers in web content and they know on-demand audio content is changing the game,” said Kovacik. “The Backstage Experience is going to be the go-to for the latest in entertainment and pop culture. It’s so exciting to consult them on their journey and to be part of a very bright future.” Stenvall said, “I couldn’t think of a better fit for us than the Podcast PDs. We all have roots in Houston, and being a native Texan, that means a lot to me. I’m really looking forward to working with Rob and Jim to expand the Backstage OL brand.” Morales added, “I worked with ‘Rob Scorpio’ and ‘Jimbo’ in radio, and I’m beyond excited to reunite with them in our newest partnership and take The Backstage Experience podcast to… the next level with their ideas and direction!”
