Promotion Party @ KNRJ/Phoenix

• There is much cause for celebration in the hallways of Sierra H Broadcasting Rhythmic KNRJ (101.1 The Beat)/Phoenix, as PD Fred Rico announced two major promotions: Jamie Lee Barnes is upped from part-time to nights and Music Director, and afternoon personality James Rivas Jr.has been elevated to APD. Former evening personality Evette Victoria will continue to do weekends.

As Rico explains to RAMP, “James is been pretty Johnny-on-the-spot and has helped me out a lot getting things done, so he really deserves to be APD. Jamie has only been here a year — this is her first radio gig — but she made the time to come in and learn and to be a greater asset.”

Further Fun Facts: Rivas has been with KNRJ for more than seven years, and Ms. Barnes is working on getting her bachelor’s degree.
