Pros On The Loose: J Love
• RAMP has learned that J Love is now a free agent, as his position as Operations Manager for Connoisseur Media Hot AC KEZR (Mix 106.5) and Bay Country simulcast — 94.5 KBAY/San Jose & 94.5 KKDV/Walnut Creek, CA has been eliminated after a year on the job.
That development comes on the heels of the recent announcement that Connoisseur was spinning off 94.5 to Christian broadcaster K-Love, Inc. for $2 million. Effective this Wednesday, July 22 at 12 noon, Bay Country will move from 94.5 to 98.5, the current home of Classic Rock sibling KUFX (98.5 K-Fox)/San Jose, which will simultaneously relocate to 98.5 KUFX-HD2 in San Jose, 99.7 KMVQ-HD3/San Francisco and KFOX.com. Bay Country will retain its existing simulcast partner on 92.1 KKDV/Walnut Creek, CA.
Love was named to his OM post in August 2025, just before Connoisseur acquired Alpha Media. Before that he spent the better part of a decade as Brand Manager of Audacy Hot AC KMXB (Mix 94.1)/Las Vegas.
Love previously programmed KWYL (Wild 102.9) & KNEV/Reno, NV, and was APD/MD at CBS Radio Hot AC KSCF (Sophie@103.7)/San Diego. Earlier stops include KMVQ/San Francisco, KBBY/Oxnard-Ventura,WKQI/Detroit and WEZB (B97)/New Orleans. Love got his radio start back in the day at the late, legendary KQHT (Hot 97.7)/San Jose.
