Randi Kirshbaum Joins KPNW/Seattle
• Hubbard Triple A 98.9 KPNW/Seattle has wisely added the considerable skills of format veteran Randi Kirshbaum to its weekend airstaff, where she will be heard Sundays from 10am-3pm.
“We are thrilled to announce the addition of the incredibly talented Randi Kirshbaum to the 98.9 KPNW lineup,” said Scott Mahalick, OM & Content Director, Hubbard Seattle. “With her wit, charm, and infectious personality, Randi is set to bring a whole new level of entertainment to our PNW listeners. Get ready to laugh, learn, and be thoroughly entertained.”
Kirshbaum started her radio career at the age of 16, landing an on-air gig at KQRS/Minneapolis. After going on to work at legendary rock stations WHFS/Washington, DC and WBCN/Boston, Randi moved to Portland, ME in 1982, where she spent the next four decades with Saga’s Portland Radio Group in the multiple roles of Program Director of AC WMGX (Coast 93.1) and Triple A WCLZ, and did middays on Country WPOR. More recently she served as MD and midday talent on Steve Kingston-owned Triple A 103.1 WRNR/Grasonville-Annapolis, MD until its February sale to Christian broadcaster Peter and John Fellowship, Inc. Randi has also been handling middays at Triple A WNCS (The Point)/Burlington, VT since June 2022.
“My passion is finding great music and sharing it with listeners,” Kirshbaum said. “And Seattle? I mean c’mon, one of the best places in the world for music discovery. That’s why KPNW is a dream job!”
