Randy Fox Joins AGM Albuquerque
• American General Media Albuquerque welcomes Randy Fox to the team as the new Program Director of heritage Rhythmic KKSS (Kiss 97.3) and Hot AC KKRG (Mix 105.1), effective Monday, July 23.
Fox (left) arrives from Sacramento, where he was most recently PD of Entercom Rhythmic KSFM until late April, when most of the staff exited. Fox notably spent 16 years with CBS Radio Sacramento in various roles, including Creative Services Director, and had made the transition to new owner Entercom last November. Earlier in his career Fox held various programming, on air, production and creative services positions in Austin, Phoenix, El Paso, TX and Las Cruces, NM. “I’m very happy to welcome Randy to the AGM cluster in Albuquerque,” said Larry Lemanski, GM of AGM Albuquerque. “We actually competed with each other in California, and it’s nice to now have such a pro on our team here!”
Fox’s arrival will take some of the programming load off of Bob Lewis, AGM’s Regional Director of Operations & Programming for Albuquerque and Bakersfield, CA, who had been handling the day-to-day on KKSS and KKRG since AGM acquired the pair on Sept. 1, 2017. Lewis said, “It’s not easy finding Program Directors today — especially one who embodies the talent and skill to manage a heritage brand on one hand and the tenacity and grind needed to launch a new brand on the other. Randy has all of those skills and more and we could not be happier to have as skilled and dynamic a programmer on the AGM team.”
Fox stated, “I’m very excited to be joining the American General Media family. It is an honor to be trusted with the success and future of KKSS and KKRG. I would like to thank Rogers Brandon, Larry Lemanski and Bob Lewis for their confidence and vision. I look forward to working with the incredible team at AGM Albuquerque.”
