Rivers Joins WIRK & WEAT/West Palm

• Hubbard Radio West Palm Beach welcomes Nick Rivers as APD of WIRK (New Country 103.1) and Classic Hits WEAT (Sunny 107.9). Rivers will also serve as Music Director and afternoon personality for WIRK.

Rivers (left) takes up residence in the state of Florida after his latest stint with Dick Broadcasting in Greensboro, NC, where he has handled production and imaging for WKZL & WKRR/Greensboro and WGCO (Hot 98.3)/Savannah, GA. Rivers previously programmed Golden Isles Broadcasting Country WRJY (104.1 The Wave) and Classic Hits WSSI/Brunswick, GA, and his earlier stops include iHeartMedia Charlotte and Greensboro.

Bruce Logan, Operations Manager and Brand/Content Director of WIRK, said, “We had a lot of fantastic candidates to join Hubbard Radio West Palm Beach, but Nick’s enthusiasm and the chemistry he had with the team truly set him apart from the others. We are building something special at WIRK and Nick is the another outstanding puzzle piece.”

Rivers commented, “Thank you to Bruce Logan and [SVP/Market Manager] Elizabeth Hamma for this incredible opportunity. Their passion and dedication will make this a ton of fun, and I can’t wait to get to ‘Sunny’ South Florida.” Rivers replaces Sammy Cruise, who last month was named OM of Townsquare Media Portsmouth, NH and Brand Manager of Country duo WOKQ/Portsmouth, NH and WPKQ (103.7 The Peak)/Portland, ME.
