Roberts & Stick On The Loose

• Aaron Roberts has exited Cumulus Media/Westwood One after an eight-year run and is now seeking his next industry opportunity.

Roberts (left) had most recently served as VP of Programming Communications & Special Projects, in part overseeing the programming/promotion and on-site events for the AMAs, Grammys, ACMs, Billboard Music Awards and other cross-platform partnerships. Before that Roberts was Vice President, Programming Partnerships for Cumulus Media, Westwood One and NASH, and National Director, Special Projects for Cumulus.

Roberts’ radio career spans over 20 years in programming and promotions, with PD stops at WRQQ/NashvilleWIOT/Toledo, OH and WROV/Roanoke, VA. Back in the day he was also Operations Manager for Citadel Wilkes-Barre-Scranton, PA and Southwest Regional promo rep for Trauma Records. Roberts started his career at Alternative WLUM/Milwaukee. • iHeartMedia Top 40 WSNX/Grand Rapids, MI is now minus a Program Director as Clarence “Stick” Day exits. Day arrived in Grand Rapids in April 2016, earning his PD stripes after three years honing his craft as APD/MD at sister WKQI (Channel 955)/Detroit. Before his big Motor City promotion in 2013, Stick was Channel 955’s Promotions Director and part time air talent. The search for a new PD begins now, and we are told that the position should be posted soon.
