Seattle Tightens Its Wingnut

• Hubbard Radio’s KNUC (New Country 98.9 The Bull)/Seattle officially welcomes market veteran Wingnut back to the local airwaves as he is named APD/MD and midday personality, tastefully sandwiched in between Fitz in the Morning and Corey Dillon in afternoon drive.

Mr. Wingnut is best known and loved for his nine-year run across the street at Entercom rival KKWF (100.7 The Wolf) as APD/MD/afternoon personality until November 2018.

The move reunites Wingnut with Scott Mahalick, PD of The Bull, who said, “You can have the best strategy, in the best building in the world, but if you don’t have Wingnut in your hallways you’re only half steppin.’ I’m proud to say we have us a Wingnut in OUR hallways!”

Wingnut’s earlier radio stops include a couple of former Wolf outlets — KBWF (95.7 The Wolf)/San Francisco and KWOF (92.5 The Wolf)/Denver (where he worked for Mahalick) as well as KNTY/Sacramento. Commenting on his exciting Seattle return, Wingnut said, “It’s a dream come true to work at Hubbard Radio with Scott Mahalick, [VP/Market Manager] Ann Marie Mulholland and [SVP of Programming] Greg Strassell. Finally — I get to do radio fast, loud and bigger than life — just like a stampede!”
