Shannon Leaving CMG JAX

• After ten years with Cox Media Group Jacksonville, OM/PD Todd Shannon and the company are mutually parting ways, effective March 13. In a statement, Shannon said, “I am very proud of the ratings and revenue goals we have accomplished together over the past ten years and wish the brands continuing success. I am currently vetting opportunities both inside and outside of the broadcast industry and I’m truly excited for what the future holds!”

Shannon joined CMG Jacksonville in 2010, crossing the street from Clear Channel, where he served as RVPP and PD of Top 40 WFKS (97.9 Kiss FM). His earlier 14-year run with Clear Channel and Jacor includes programming stops at WIOQ (Q102)/Philadelphia, KHKS/Dallas and WNCI/Columbus, OH; plus he’s the guy who launched KHTS (Channel 933)/San Diego on Sept. 1, 1996.
