SXM’s ‘POTUS’ Revamps With Coates & Mason
• SiriusXM’s bipartisan political and news channel, POTUS (channel 124), debuted a new daytime line-up, bookended by new morning and afternoon shows — with the 2024 presidential race already underway, Laura Coates (left) will now kick off coverage of the day’s breaking news weekday mornings starting at 7am ET from SiriusXM’s Washington, D.C. studios, with Julie Mason (right) returning to afternoon drive.
Coates, who also serves as CNN’s Senior Legal Analyst and host of CNN Tonight, will preview the day’s key stories to watch in DC and around the globe while also covering top cultural moments, hosting conversations with leaders and experts in the world of politics, pop culture, and the law, as well as regular interactions with listeners.
A veteran Washington journalist, now in her 12th year at SiriusXM, Mason’s show will feature interviews with journalists, strategists and politicians from both sides of the aisle. Mason will also host regular Town Hall events from SiriusXM’s Washington studios and other locations.
Here is the new weekday line-up on SiriusXM POTUS — 7-9am ET: The Laura Coates Show; 9am-noon: The Michael Smerconish Program; noon-2pm: The Briefing with Steve Scully; 2-3pm: The Dan Abrams Show; 3-6pm: The Julie Mason Show.
