Tony Kidd Exits CMG Atlanta
• RAMP has confirmed that Atlanta radio veteran Tony Kidd has exited his position as SVP of Programming for Cox Media Group Atlanta after 17 years with the company. The CMG Atlanta cluster includes Urban AC WALR (Kiss 104.1), AC WSB (B98.5), Classic Hits WSRV (97.1 The River), News-Talk simulcast WSB-AM & WSBB (News 95.5 & 750) and Country WNGC.
Kidd was also Urban Format Leader for Cox Media Group and oversaw the company’s Urban properties in Orlando, Miami and Jacksonville. Kidd and his wife, Jennifer also hosted the nightly Slow Jamz show on Kiss 104.1.
We are told that the position of Director of Branding and Programming for Kiss 104.1 should be posted very soon on the Cox Media Group Careers portal.
