Westwood One To End ‘The Lia Show’
• RAMP has confirmed that Westwood One will cease production of The Lia Show and Later With Lia, effective Dec. 31. Lia Knight has anchored The Lia Show weeknights from 7-midnight for nearly 25 years, and further extended her brand in 2020 with the launch of Later With Lia (Mon-Sun, midnight-5am ET) after The Blair Garner Show signed off.
RAMP reached out to Lia, who told us, “I just celebrated my 35th year in radio and 25 years of doing this show. That is a long time! I kept saying how nice it would be to take a long vacation… now I get one! Anyway, I have no idea what I’m going to do next. That will play itself out. I plan to take a bit to do some family stuff and then have that talk with myself about writing the next chapter.” She added, “I feel pretty good about a new ‘something,’ whatever that might be.” Looking ahead, Knight can be contacted at LIAKAYE@gmail.com.
