WOR/NYC Seeks New Night Co-Host

• There has been a major personnel change at WOR Tonight with Joe Concha & Lis Wiehl, heard weeknights from 6-9pm at iHeartMedia News-Talk 710 WOR/New York — namely, the departure of co-host Lis Wiehl. RAMP has confirmed that host Joe Concha will operate with a rotating series of guest-co-hosts as the search for a permanent replacement gets underway.

WOR Tonight debuted on Feb. 4 of this year and featured Concha, a reporter and columnist for The Hill, teamed up with best-selling author Wiehl. The show was described at the time as “a New York-centric show spotlighting a mix of top news stories, politics, movies, television, Broadway, pop culture and consumer issues.”

Wiehl (right) did her final show last Wednesday evening, at which time she shared these thoughts with WOR listeners, commenting, “Tonight is my last night as co-host of WOR Tonight with Joe Concha & Lis Wiehl. As many of you know, I am an author of a number of books, and writing is and always has been a part of my career that I’m passionate about. The demands of preparing for and doing a nightly three-hour show leave little time for researching and writing books. Right now, my work as an author has got to take priority. I have enjoyed my time with you, Conch and Producer Trevor, and all the WOR listeners. I appreciate you all and wish you great success as the show goes on.”
