Bex & Buster Driving Philly Home

• iHeartMedia Top 40 WIOQ (Q102)/Philadelphia just revealed the news we had been hoping for — market vet Rebekah “Bex” Maroun is coming home to Philly as Q102’s new afternoon drive co-host, plugging in across from PD Brandon “Buster” Satterfield as half of the all-new Bex & Buster show, weekdays from 3-7pm, starting July 5.

Bex makes her triumphant return to the City Of Brotherly Love from Boston, where she spent the past three years as co-host and Executive Producer of Matty In The Morning on sister WXKS (Kiss 108) until her recent (and well documented) departure.

The best part is, Bex (left) is already a very familiar name in the Philadelphia market — prior to moving to Boston in Sept. 2018, she spent four years in various roles on 96.5FM, most recently in afternoons on Audacy Hot AC WTDY (96.5 TDY). Before that she co-hosted the morning show on CBS Radio’s former WZMP (96.5 AMP Radio) and its predessesor, Beasley’s WRDW (Wired 96.5). Bex also hosted a sports segment on 94 WIP SportsRadio, served as an entertainment reporter for KYW NewsRadio 1060 and assisted in the launch of The Hot Minute segment on CBS 3 TV. She was also a producer for the syndicated Weekend Throwdown with Jagger back in the day.

“Bex and I have a rich history of making magic together, and we’re pumped to take it to the next level,” said Buster. “The new show will give us an opportunity to entertain Philly every afternoon with our lifestyle content and wild segments. We look forward to making you laugh.” No less thrilled and excited is Bex, who exclaimed, “I can’t contain my excitement! I’m ecstatic to be coming home to Philadelphia, being part of the legendary Q102/iHeartMedia family, and joining forces with Buster, a friend I have admired and rooted for for so many years. Thank you, iHeartMedia, for this phenomenal opportunity. Philly, I missed you!”
