Cassiday Proctor Joins Cumulus Buffalo-Erie

• As first tipped by RAMP last week, and now conveniently converted into reality… Cassiday Proctor has transferred from Cumulus Kansas City to Buffalo, NY in the dual role of mornings on Alternative WEDG (103.3 The Edge) and middays on AC sister WXKC (Classy 100)/Erie, PA. The Edge morning spot had been occupied for three decades by the team of Shredd & Ragan until August, when they unplugged and crossed the hall to fill the gaping wake-up vacancy on Classic Rock WGRF (97 Rock).

Ms. Proctor arrives in Bills’ country from Cumulus Kansas City, where she had been multi-tasking as midday personality for Top 40 KCHZ (95.7 The Vibe), and afternoon talent on KCJK (105.1 The X), while also serving as a Spotter for the AFC rival Kansas City Chiefs.

Prior to that, she worked for Hubbard Radio’s WARH (106.5 The Arch)/St. Louis as morning co-host and afternoon driver. She earlier co-hosted mornings on WSTR (the former Star 94)/Atlanta, and co-hosted mornings on WNKS (Kiss 95.1)/Charlotte. Proctor started her radio career in 2008, as a member of former JB & Sandy morning show on KAMX (Mix 94.7)/Austin, TX.

In making the big announcement, Jim Riley, VP/Market Manager, Cumulus Buffalo-Erie, said, “Cassiday’s track record of success in major market morning shows and her time on the nationally syndicated Bert Showmade her a great candidate for this job. The fact that she married into a Buffalo family, and this is where she wants to live and raise a family made her the obvious choice. We’re very lucky.”

Proctor commented, “I’m thrilled that my journey with Cumulus brings me to Buffalo. To get back into morning drive was my dream, and to be able to do it in a city I love is the ultimate career win for me. Thanks to Donna Baker and the KC team for being so gracious in this process, and thank you to Jim Riley, Joe Siragusa, and John Dimick for believing in me and trusting me with this opportunity.”
