Des Moines Wakes Up With Fish & Heather
• Saga Active Rock KAZR (Lazer 103.3)/Des Moines, IA is proud to announce the imminent arrival of its new live and local morning team, Fish & Heather, starting Monday.
For Sean “Fish” Fisher (left), the move is a radio homecoming — he previously did afternoons on Lazer from 2001-2003 before moving on to a couple of other “Lazers” — the former WLZR (now WHQG)/Milwaukee and Saga sister WLZX (Lazer 99.3)/Springfield, MA, among other stops. “I’m thrilled to join the team for my second tour of duty,” Fish said. “Can’t wait to get back on the air and talk to my ‘Lazer Hellraisers!'”
Heather Lee (right), who will also serve as Lazer’s new Music Director, previously rocked the airwaves for NRG/Omaha, and most recently did nights on Hubbard Radio AC KRWM (Warm 106.9)/Seattle until the company’s May downsizing. “…And she lived happily-ever-after,” Lee said. “[GM] Lance Richard, [OM] Leigh McNabb and [PD] Andy Hall — thank you for the opportunity to execute your vision and grow with Fish and Lazer. Ed Christian, Chris Forgy and Scott Chase — ‘you get me.’ I’m grateful.”
Proudly surveying his new morning team, PD Andy Hall said, “I’m beyond thrilled to welcome two very driven, and creative people into the Lazer family. The potential for greatness between Fish & Heather is sky-high as a morning team, and I’m more than happy to have Heather as my MD, offering a different set of eyes and ears that will help continue the tradition of greatness within our unique brand of rock radio.” Fish & Heather replaces The Morning Moose Show — Moose Warywoda and Nadia Valentine left last month.
