Pros In Motion
• Britt Rose is the new afternoon drive personality on Cumulus Classic Hits WJTQ (Jet 100.7)/Pensacola, FL. She earns the transfer from sisters KQOB and KATT/Oklahoma City. Chuck Whitaker, OM/PD of WJTQ, commented, “I’m very excited to have Britt here as the new afternoon goddess in the Jet 100.7 cockpit. It’s so good to see one of our own at Cumulus get the opportunity to advance in their career. We look forward to Britt taking Jet 100.7 to new heights!”
No less thrilled is Ms. Rose herself, who said, “I am thrilled and absolutely grateful to have this opportunity in the beautiful Pensacola area at Jet 100.7! The people here at Cumulus-Pensacola have made me feel completely welcome. I would like to thank Chuck Whitaker, Jackie Rinker and Doug Hamand for choosing me for this amazing opportunity!”
• Cumulus News-Talk 590 WVLK-AM/Lexington, KY has elevated Larry Glover from nights into the blinding light of the noon-3pm slot. Glover has hosted Larry Glover Live from 6-8pm on WVLK-AM since January 2008. Concurrently, syndicated host Chris Plante will move into the 10am-noon spot on News Talk 590, which is now simulcast on 97.3FM. These moves follow Tuesday’s exit of midday host Lee Cruse, who will now focus on his TV career.
Scott Frazier, VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Media Lexington, said, “I’ve always believed that Larry possessed the ability to reach beyond the world of sports talk to offer entertaining and informative commentary on a broad range of topics. He will now have that opportunity, and I think our listeners will love what they hear!” WVLK PD Kruser commented, “For many years, Larry Glover has been a staple of the News Talk 590 WVLK lineup. Over that time, he has proven to be an authoritative voice on U.K. sports and sports of all sorts. But he’s also shown versatility on news matters and politics. That mix will be valuable in the noon to 3pm position. And it will be good for WVLK to be local in that time slot again.”
