Q102/Philly Nights Fit For King

• iHeartMedia Top 40 WIOQ (Q102)/Philadelphia has tapped format vet Eliott King to host Q102 Tonight with Eliott, weeknights from 7-midnight, effective September 9. King segues from Radio One Top 40 WNOW (RadioNOW 100.9)/Indianapolis, where he was APD and afternoon drive talent.

King began his career at iHeartMedia Los Angeles. And speaking of which… the man that King is replacing, Raphael “Raph” Opida was recently awarded a major transfer to sister KIIS-FM/Los Angeles to do 2-5pm weekdays, starting this Fall.

“Eliott’s passion and level of creativity make him the perfect candidate to lead Q102 nights,” said Buster Satterfield, PD of Q102. “Q102 is a heritage station in the Philly community and we’re certain that he’ll help shake things up for the iconic brand.” No less excited and thrilled is King, who exclaimed, “I’m thrilled to join Q102! Q102 is a legendary station and staple in the Philly community and I can’t wait to connect with the loyal listeners and add my unique flavor to this legendary Top 40 format.”
