Scotty Davis Changes The Station

• iHeartMedia Tampa Bay keeps it in the family and taps cluster vet Scotty Davis as the new afternoon drive talent on Country WFUS (US103.5), effective Monday, May 14. For Davis (left), the move means a relatively similar commute — he crosses the hall from Top 40 WFLZ, where he held down afternoons for the past six years. “I’ve been eying a move over to the Country format for quite some time,” said Davis, whose previous stops include Indianapolis, Dallas, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, Wilkes-Barre-Scranton and Amarillo, TX. “This is a natural next step for my career and I’m thankful to everyone at iHeartMedia for believing in me!”

Cindy Spicer, PD of US103.5 commented, “I’m excited to have someone as talented as Scotty Davis join our team. He’s well known in the market and is a proven winner in Tampa Bay!” Davis succeeds Ryan Nelson, who exited last week.

• And if you are wondering aloud who might fill that prime pm drive spot at WFLZ, stop calling… we have a winner — recently hired 93.3 FLZ APD Brandon “Buster” Satterfield will now drive you home, starting May 14.
