• Entercom announced some on-air moves at the company’s D.C. Sports outlets, WJFK (106.7 The Fan) and WTEM (The Team 980)/Washington. Let’s start on WJFK, where Brian Mitchell and JP Finlay have been inked as the new midday co-hosts.

Mitchell (right) made his media debut in 2003 after a 13-year NFL career. He previously hosted his own show on WTEM (980 The Team), and he does pre-and post-game coverage for the Washington Football Team on NBC Sports Washington. Finlay (left) has been the Washington Football Team beat reporter for NBC Sports Washington’s since 2016, and created and hosted the Washington Football Talk Podcast. He will continue to appear on NBC Sports Washington addition to hosting duties at 106.7 The Fan.

• Across the hall on The Team 980, the radio flagship of the Washington Football Team, announces wholesale shift changes (outside of morning drive), effective February 8 — Kevin Sheehan remains in place from 6-9am ET, joined by a rotating cast of contributors. Longtime Washington/Baltimore sports media vet Travis Thomasis named midday host, weekdays from 9am-noon. Thomas also does an Saturday afternoon show on 106.7 The Fan. Reese Waters is new to the noon-3pm shift. Waters previously hosted Get Up DC for WUSA-9 since 2017 before transitioning to a new nightly show this month. He was previously a correspondent for ESPN’s SportsCenter.

And finally, market vets Chris Russell and Pete Medhurst team up for Russell and Medhurst in afternoon drive. Russell has appeared in a variety of roles for 106.7 The Fan and 980 The Team since 2009, and is also Sports Illustrated‘s Washington Football Team correspondent. Medhurst joined 106.7 The Fan as an update anchor in 2009 and has been the station’s primary fill-in host, Nationals post-game show host and fill-in play-by-play talent.
