What Happens In Vegas… Makes RAMP

You just never know whom you might run into at the NAB Show in Las Vegas. With over 100,000 industry pros wandering through the cavernous exhibit area, what are the chances that several industry icons would bump into each other and pause to commemorate that meeting with a celebratory souvenir photo suitable for framing? Or running in RAMP?

When Sierra Automated Systems (SAS) wanted to make a big splash in Vegas to celebrate their 30th anniversary of making incredible audio consoles that are used by iHeartMedia, Cumulus and other major broadcasters, company VP Al Salci picked up the hotline and made one call — to legendary air personality and Schmooze-master General “Shotgun Tom” Kelly, who graciously flew in to emcee the festivities in front of an appreciative capacity crowd on the exhibit floor.

Pictured, after the applause eventually died down, (l-r): Shotgun Tom, Al Salci, and a couple of very special guest spectators — RAMP‘s own globetrotting Steve Resnik, and famous programmer Jhani Kaye, who owns and operates the successful video production company Los Feliz Post.
