Deegan Named VP/Sales, Audacy Austin

• Audacy has named Tatjana Deegan as Vice President of Sales for its Austin group.

Deegan joins Audacy with 25 years of sales and leadership experience — not to mention a lengthy and successful history in the Austin market — during her 18 years as General Sales Manager for Emmis/Waterloo Media Austin, Deegan oversaw multiple stations, was a driving force for the Blues on the Green concert series, and launched the company’s first Spanish-language station. Other roles include GSM for CMG’s KHPT/Houston, and as an AE, and later, Local Sales Manager for CBS Radio Austin. Deegan is also an eight-time recipient of “Austin Radio Sales Manager of the Year” honors from the Alliance for Women in Media.

Deegan now reports to Audacy Regional President Doug Abernethy, who said, “It’s much better working with Tatjana than against her. She is a powerhouse seller and a dependable colleague. Audacy’s Austin sales team is set to have a successful future with her influence.”
