• Yesterday we told you Chuck Geiger had landed a new programming gig — today he announced he was headed back to our 49th state as the newly named Program Director of The Juneau Radio Center’s five-station group — Hot AC KSUP (Mix 106), Country KTKU (Taku 105), Classic Hits KXXJ, News-Talk-Sports KJNO and Full Service KINY.

In a staff memo, Shane Huntley, Group Program Director — Alaska and Texarkana Radio Centers said, “Chuck brings an enormous amount of real, useful and practical experience to our company with an edge that is current, very competitive, VERY sales-friendly, digitally-oriented with outstanding skills in imaging, production, on-air work, talent development, creativity, community awareness and operational leadership. He also happens to have a great production voice, which will add to our repertoire of offerings for clients.” Huntley added, “I’m very excited for this new phase, and the impact that Chuck will have on the performance and business of JRC.”

Geiger has spent the past 18 months as OM of Cherry Creek Radio’s seven-station cluster in Wenatchee, WA, and this new job marks a welcome return to Alaska for Geiger, who previously spent nearly two years programming Ohana Media Group Adult Hits KBBO (Bob 92.1)/Anchorage & Hot AC KMBQ (Q99.7)/Wasilla, AK.
