Layne To Run Adams Radio Delmarva

• Adams Radio of Delmarva has named Lisa Layne as the new VP/GM for its Salisbury-Ocean City, MD group — Active Rock WZBH (93.5 The Beach), Rhythmic WOCQ (OC104), Classic Rock WGBG (Big 107.7), Country WUSX (US98.5) and WOCQ-HD2 (KOOL Oldies 104.3/105.1), effective June 17.

Layne is already a resident of Maryland, as she has served as GSM for Delmarva Broadcasting (now Forever Media) Country WXCY/Havre de Grace, MD since 2014. Ron Stone, CEO of Adams Radio, commented, “Lisa is a strong, sales focused manager combined with terrific knowledge of programming. She brings to the market a new level of broadcast excellence. We are very excited about her leading our team in Maryland where I know she will make a tremendous impact in our building and in our community.”

Layne began her radio career 25 years ago as a part-time jock at her local radio station in Danville, VA and went to co-host Glenn & Lisa in the Morning at WZBB (B99)/Rocky Mount, VA. After 11 years on the air, Layne transitioned to sales in with Entercom Greensboro, and later, served as a GM for Nassau Broadcasting in the Poconos. Layne eventually moved back to Southern Virginia and worked for iHeartMedia in Roanoke, Lynchburg and Washington, DC.

Commenting on her upcoming adventure Layne remarked, “I have enjoyed the journey my career has taken me, and especially my time at 103.7 WXCY. I will miss my team… my work family… and the community I have grown to love.
