Townsquare Ups Godwin, Carmean & Redding

• Townsquare Media, Inc. has promoted Northwest Regional Vice President Kevin Godwin to Senior Vice President. Erik Hellum, Townsquare’s Chief Operating Officer, Local Media, said of Godwin, “Kevin has been a driving force in our growth in the Northwest, continually focused on recruiting and developing great local talent, building strong local brands, and executing the Townsquare playbook. Kevin has earned this promotion, and the additional responsibilities he will be taking on.”

With Godwin (left) now getting busier, he will relinquish his current Boise, ID Market President duties. Stepping into that position is Rick Carmean (below, left), currently Market President and Chief Revenue Officer of Townsquare’s Grand Junction, CO operations. Carmean joined Townsquare in March 2016 from Red Zebra Broadcasting, where he was President & CEO for more than five years. He now reports to Godwin, who said, “Rick’s experience and success with Townsquare diversified local media platform will allow him to contribute immediately to our ‘Local First’ mission in Boise. Rick has a collaborative style and brings out the best in others. With a strong core of talent in Boise and his fresh perspective on the operation, Townsquare Boise will continue to develop, grow and perform at a high level under his leadership. I’m excited to work with Rick and help him connect with the many valued relationships and community partners we have here in the Treasure Valley.” The Boise group includes KAWO (WOW Country 104.3), KCIX (Mix 106), KSAS (103.5 Kiss FM), KXLT (107.9 Lite FM), KIDO (Talk Radio 580/107.5) and KFXD-AM (Sports Radio 630 The Fan).

Carmean said, “Boise is one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. and an outstanding place to raise a family. Townsquare’s talented group of employees, together with the Company’s ‘Local First’ mantra, market-leading radio stations, established events, and market-leading web development and digital programmatic platforms are well suited to address the needs of Boise’s growing business community.”

Replacing Carmean as Market President & Chief Revenue Officer in Grand Junction is current Director of SalesNatalie Redding (below, right), who said, “I’m excited for the opportunity to continue building the Townsquare brand in beautiful Western Colorado by offering solutions to small businesses that support their success and creating engaging experiences on-air, online and on site. Our commitment to our local communities is evident in everything we do, and this will continue to be our priority moving forward.”
