WTMX/Chicago Morning Show Re-Mixed

In the wake of the recent departure of 21-year morning co-host Kathy Hart, the former Eric & Kathy Show on Hubbard Radio Hot AC WTMX (101.9 The Mix)/Chicago is expected to reveal its new identity today — according to Chicago media maven Robert Feder (and confirmed by this image found on the Mix home page) host Eric Ferguson will now topline the rebranded Eric in the Morning with Melissa & Whip, a very public nod to the contributions of longtime castmates Melissa McGurren and Brian “Whip” Paruch.

As Feder reports, McGurren and Paruch were said to be included in the new name at Ferguson’s insistence. “Eric said it was important to him that they were part of it too,” said one station insider. No new personnel are expected to join this existing unit.
