Worden Named PD of ALT98.7/Los Angeles
UPDATED, Jan. 22: • Alternative radio pro Lisa Worden, who was recently appointed Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia’s KYSR (ALT 98.7)/Los Angeles, and Alternative Rock Brand Manager for iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group, enhances her broadcast day with the installation of awarded ALT 98.7 PD stripes.
Worden succeeds Mike Kaplan, who, as RAMP announced today (1/22), will soon be formally named as the new PD of Entercom Alternative ALT 92.3/New York.
In making the announcement of Worden’s elevation, Andrew Jeffries, EVP, West Division for iHeartMedia commented, “Having Lisa’s wealth of programming experience now available to us as a resource, it made logical sense for her to take a much more active role in the day-to-day as the PD of ALT 98.7 and we look forward to tapping into her skills. Her relationships within the industry, combined with her knowledge of the format, specifically Los Angeles, will help accelerate the growth, of an already very successful station, into 2018.”
Worden joined iHeartMedia in November 2017 as VP of Programming for ALT 98.7 and Alternative Rock Brand Manager for the company’s National Programming Group. Worden notably spent over two decades with the World Famous KROQ/Los Angeles as APD/MD with the exception of 2003-2005, when she programmed the late WHFS/Washington, DC before returning to KROQ.
