2017 Jock Shuffle At WAAF
Entercom Rock WAAF/Boston unveiled a significant shift in dayparts for two of the station’s longtime personalities and the addition of two new air talents in a major reshuffle at the station — after 11 years in middays, Mike Hsu re-joins the popular Hill-Man Morning Show, while afternoon drive goddess Mistress Carrie slips back into the midday chair. New to afternoon drive — please welcome the comedy stylings of Matty Blake and Nick Stevens. Both guys are Massachusetts natives — Blake (left) is a comedian and TV, film and commercial actor who hosts The Curse of Oak Island: Drilling Down on The History Channel, while Stevens (right) has been doing stand-up in New York for 20 years. He’s also a successful commercial voiceover actor who is perhaps best known for his alter ego “Fitzy,” a profane, hyper-obsessed Boston sports fan.
Mistress Carrie began her career as an intern at WAAF in the early ’90s. She has hosted afternoons for the past 11 years and now returns to her original midday shift. Mike Hsu took over middays on WAAF in 2005. His move back to The Hill-Man Morning Show marks a reunion with Greg Hill — Hsu originally served as the show’s News Director until 2004. “WAAF has always been a brand built on engaging and unorthodox personalities,” said PD Ron Valeri. “As one of America’s longest standing rock stations, this new line up positions WAAF to thrive in the New Year and for many years to come.”
