Condolences: Drew & Mike’s Mike Clark
• UPDATED: A longtime fixture of Detroit radio has died — Mike Clark, half of the WRIF‘s long-running Drew and Mike morning show died overnight on October 15. The news was confirmed by Detroit’s ABC affiliate, WXYZ-TV.
The sad news was also relayed to fans via Mike Clark’s Facebook page. The post reads as follows, “It is with great sadness that we announce that Mike Clark has passed away during the night. He is now flying high like he always wanted. We do ask for the privacy of the family members as they mourn his passing but welcome to leave any posts or comments below and they will be passed on to the family.”
Drew and Mike famously ruled the morning roost on WRIF for 22 years until their final show on Friday, May 17, 2013. They started a podcast in 2016, but Clark began appearing with less frequency shortly after they began due to health problems. The cause of death hasn’t been released.
