SummitMedia Seeks Springfield OM
• SummitMedia is now searching for a permanent Operations Manager for its cluster in Springfield, MO. You may recall that back in August, veteran programmer Tom Oakes temporarily plugged into the position as OM and PD of Country KTTS following his departure as VP/GM & Operations Manager of Ohana Media Group’s Anchorage, AK group. At the time the cluster was still owned by Scripps. Oakes will be moving on to his next opportunity after a successor is hired.
The official position is OM/PD of Country KTTS and Operations Manager of Adult Hits KRVI (106.7 The River), Top 40 KSPW (Power 96.5) and News-Talk simulcast KSGF-AM & FM. • In a related story, current Springfield GM Rex Hanson announced his retirement, effective at the end of the month after 19 years in the cluster. He will be succeeded by GSM Janelle Moffett, who will assume the new position of Market President/GM.
