First iHeart Music Awards Performers Announced

• iHeartMedia and FOX announced the first round of performers at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards — Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande, Halsey, Garth Brooks, John Legend and Kacey Musgraves will grace the stage, with more TBA. The live two-hour event originates from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday, March 14 from 8-10pm ET live/PT tape-delayed on FOX. The sixth annual iHeartRadio Music Awards will also stream live on iHeartMedia radio stations and on iHeartRadio.

iHeartMedia also announced that Taylor Swift will be in attendance to receive the iHeartRadio “Tour of the Year” award for her Reputation stadium tour. With over two million tickets sold in the U.S. and a gross of $266 million, it is the highest selling U.S. tour in history by any artist.

Nominees for the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards were announced on January 9. Artists receiving multiple nominations include Cardi BDrake, Ariana Grande, Shawn MendesPost Malone, Maroon 5 and Imagine Dragons. For a full list of categories visit iHeartRadio.com/awards.

This year’s awards will feature a broad array of categories, including Artist of the Year, Best Duo/Group of the Year and individual winners for Album of the Year in Pop, Country, Alternative Rock, Rock, Dance, Hip-Hop, R&B, Latin and Regional Mexican formats. For the third year, the 2019 Best New Artist awards will be grouped by format and format winners will then become finalists for the top title of Best New Artist.

The 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards will again allow iHeartRadio listeners the opportunity to decide winners in several new and established categories, like Best Fan Army presented by Taco Bell®; Best Lyrics; Best Cover Song; Best Music Video; the Social Star Award; Best Solo Breakout; Cutest Musician’s Pet; and the first-ever Song That Left Us Shook and Favorite Tour Photographer awards.
